The Day the World Changed

On this day 39 years ago, a musician named "Jimmy James" was considering his Greenwich Village circuit career dead, and so at the suggestion of a friend named Chas Chandler, he boarded a plane bound for London to try to make a name for himself there.

On the plane, he changed his show name to "Jimi Marshall Hendrix" and later that night, he played his first gig in his new city. The crowd went crazy, and the city was electrified!

The next day the world was introduced to Jimi Hendrix, and was changed forever.
